Ceil was beyond tired, he was exhausted. Ever since Zoya and Tyrus had shown up and Nar had crashed Lillium and Solarius’ wedding, kidnapping Sasha and Shesta, things had been crazy. Brica and Niriah had set up extra guards around the village and especially at the Doorway in case the fugitives tried to escape into the human world. Brica had pulled him aside after the wedding madness and told him to round up his best people to look for Nar and Sasha. After five hours of looking for that brat and not finding him, Brica had assigned him to guard the Doorway instead. Due to all the extra man power needed and because he was damn good at his job, Ceil had pulled a triple shift. He’d been up on his feet and on the look out for 72 hours straight. He’d had three naps, totaling maybe two hours in the last three days and hadn’t changed his clothes in much too long. Along with being exhausted he felt disgusting and was looking forward to being clean almost as much as sleeping.
He turned the corner and was finally on his street. It was late enough that there was no one else out, for which he was extremely grateful. He didn’t have the energy to answer the questions his neighbors would no doubt hurl at him. He barely had the energy to shuffle his feet forward and stay upright at the same time. ‘A nice hot shower and bed await. Just have to make it home,’ he thought to himself. Home. Home was a simple, grey one story house that he shared with his brother, Ludo. The last time he’d checked in with his brother, three hours ago, he’d been with the rest of The Gang. Those of them who weren’t doing grunt work, searching, or guarding had been asleep in various parts of Brica and Niriah’s house. He felt himself smiling a little. Brica and Niriah’s house had been a home away from home for many years now, to all of them, and it made a kind of sense that when their world went to hell that was were everyone ended up. He knew he should probably go over and see how everyone was doing in person. To give moral and emotional support to everyone who was worried out of their minds but he just couldn’t. He needed sleep first. He made a silent promise to go see how everyone was in the morning, when he wasn’t doing a decent impression of the living dead.
‘Almost home now. Only a couple more blocks. You can do it,’ He yawned and tried to talk his body into continuing to move. He glanced up towards home to see if there were any lights on, thinking that maybe Ludo had decided to come home. There were no lights on in the house, but the porch light was on and someone was sitting right under it, waiting, presumably, for him. The figure looked vaguely familiar and he thought he should recognize who it was, but his exhausted brain refused to function properly so he stopped trying and continued walking. About a block away from his house he realized who it was and heaved a sigh. He so didn’t want to deal with this right now.
Sitting on his porch with his head in his hands and his wings slumped down around him as though in defeat, was Flick, who Ceil thought of affectionately as his stalker. Flick had been following him around the village and even outside the village for the last two years. Trying to get Ceil to date him or sometimes even just admit that he liked him. Ceil had steadily refused and gotten very good at hiding from the flamboyant fairy and his wandering hands. When Flick had first started with the unwanted attention Ceil had been angry and embarrassed. He had also been convinced for a time that the attraction the other felt for him had been from his powers, which turned out to be very untrue. On the contrary Flick was apparently immune to his power, much to Ceil’s bane. Over time he had become used to, even comfortable with, Flick’s courting and innuendoes. It was part of everyday normal life. If he wasn’t hit on at least once a day then his day didn’t really feel complete.
He never thought too hard about his own feelings toward Flick, choosing instead to just think of him as a close friend and an often welcome annoyance. No one bothered to ask him why he didn’t just kick Flick’s ass to get him to leave him alone. The idea had crossed his mind more than once, he just… hadn’t. He had no explanation for it. Two days ago however, things had changed. Before Lillium and Solarius’ wedding had been crashed, before the ceremony it’s self had even taken place, he had come to a startling realization. While milling about talking to some of The Gang before the ceremony, he’d glanced over and seen Flick talking to someone else, smiling and laughing in his wedding apparel. His hair had been done in a simple half pony tail that left much of his hair falling free but looking much more gossamer than normal. His suit was a crème color, just like the rest of theirs, and fit in all the right places. It made him look almost luminescent. He’d looked wonderful, shining and happy. He’d glanced up while Ceil was looking as though he’d felt him watching and gave him a huge, beautiful smile that had taken Ceil’s breath away. It had hit him hard right then that what he felt for this other man went much, much deeper than friendship. He’d been shocked that the knowledge he felt more for Flick hadn’t scared him. Thinking back on it now, however; he realized that he’d already known. He had known how he felt deep down for Flick for a long time; he just hadn’t been able to admit it to himself. Just as he’d started over to say, he had no clue what, to Flick, Niriah had called ‘places everyone’ and the wedding had started. He’d planned on talking to him after the wedding, but his chance never came and he hadn’t seen him since. Brica had sent them in completely different directions and they hadn’t crossed paths since.
He had no idea why Flick was there now, but he was glad in a way. Once he realized who was waiting for him a strange sense of relief came over him. He’d been worried about the other man without realizing it and seeing him whole and unmolested made some strange ache in his heart vanish. He had no clue what he was going to say or how he was going to say it, but he was still glad to see him.
By the time all these thoughts and memories had flown through his mind he’d made it to his porch. He was quietly standing over the other man, waiting for him to notice him and quickly realized that probably wasn’t going to happen anytime soon. He was still exhausted, maybe even more so than before knowing the conversation that was probably to come, but he needed to do this. “Flick, what are you doing here?”
His voice sounded loud in the quite night and startled him and Flick as well. The other man jumped in surprise and lifted his head from his hands. Ceil was stunned by what he saw. Flick’s icy blue eyes were red rimmed, blood shoot and looked sunken into his face. It looked as though Flick hadn’t had anymore sleep than he had the last three days. His silver hair hung limp and heavy around his shoulders. His wings looked like wilted flower petals. He looked paler than normal and diminished in someway. As though the something that made Flick, Flick was missing.
“Gezz, are you alright? You look like hell.” Flick stood and just looked at Ceil without a reply, as though in a kind of daze. ‘There must be something wrong,’ he thought. ‘He didn’t get bitchy when I insulted how he looked.’  The other fey looked as though he were ready to cry and Ceil put a hand on his arm to steady him. He opened his mouth to ask what was wrong but didn’t get the chance as he was quite suddenly engulfed in a fierce hug by the suddenly sobbing fairy. Not quite knowing what to do, Ceil wrapped his arms around Flick and tried to calm him down.
“Shhh. Shh. It’s alright,” he crooned in what he hoped was a calming manner. “What’s wrong? Did something bad happen? Well… something else bad?”
Between the sniffling and tears Ceil managed to make out a reply. “I was just… Oh Gods… You’ve been gone for days and with everything that’s going on and Zoya and Tyrus and Nar and Shesta and Sasha. I thought something… There’s been vauge mutterings of some people getting hurt or dying and no one is saying who and… I’ve been… I was so worried.” And just like that Ceil felt like a huge jackass. He’d only thought to check in with his brother, thinking he would let the others know he was alright. He guessed that either Ludo hadn’t bothered to tell the others or Flick hadn’t seen the others in a while. He pulled himself out of his musings when he realized that Flick was still talking.
“I just got done and came to see if you or your brother were home and you weren’t and I was so tired and worried so I sat down to rest and then got to thinking and got so worried. I was going to go look for your brother and I’m so glad you’re ok oh Gods I was so worried.”
Ceil felt himself smile on the inside at the other man’s babbling and felt those feelings of love well up inside him again. He pulled away from the embrace and looked Flick in the face. He cupped his hands around the other man’s face and brushed his tears away gently.
“I’m right here. I’m fine and everyone else is fine to,” then without giving himself a chance to think, he leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss right on Flick’s lips. He felt Flick stiffen in surprise, but didn‘t think about it too hard. If you got kissed by the person you’ve been chasing relentlessly for two years you’d be surprised to. Ceil pulled away somewhat reluctantly, “So calm down and breathe before you pass out.” The shocked look on Flick’s face made Ceil smile on the outside and he brushed his fingers over his cheeks again, enjoying the feel of the soft skin under his fingers.
Flick reached his hand up and touched his lips gently. He had a look of utter shocked bewilderment on his face that was making Ceil want to kiss him again. He smiled even wider when that thought didn’t freak him out. “You just… you…you…You kissed me…” Flick stammered out.
“Yes, I did. And I’m going to do it again if there are no objections.” He leaned forward to do just that and was surprised and a little hurt to feel Flick put a hand on his chest and push him back.
“This isn’t you just trying to make me feel better right? This isn’t just a tonight thing and tomorrow you’ll go back to ‘Stop stalking me Flick!” and “Gah! Don‘t touch my butt Flick!’? Cause if it is I’ll still take it but I’ll be really pissed off later.” Flick’s eyes were searching his and he looked very uncertain with himself despite his teasing manner.
Ceil wrapped his arms around Flicks waist, “No, this isn’t just tonight.” He looked away, not sure he could look Flick in the face and say what else needed to be said. “I realized that I really do care very deeply for you. I think I’ve known for a while now and just wouldn’t accept it. It took something catastrophic happening for me to act on those feelings.” He paused, weighing weather or not he wanted to say what else was on his mind. He wasn’t usually one to hold things back and he wasn’t going to start now he decided. “I’m not saying I’m ready for the whole shebang; that I won’t get freaked out down the road, but I do want to try this. Try us?” He glanced up at Flick’s face then.
Flick looked amazingly happy and much more like himself again. He leaned forward to kiss Ceil full on the mouth, hard. “’Try us?’ What ‘try us?’ I’ve considered us a couple for over a year, even if you were in denial about it.” He grinned and kissed Ceil again, but more softly this time.
Ceil let out an amused huff and gave Flick one last squeeze before letting go and stepping back. “Well, now that that’s been decided,” He grinned “How about food and then sleep? You can stay here tonight if you like. You look like you’re going to drop any minute.”
Flick looked surprised at the invitation, then pleased. “Yeah, well… I haven’t slept much the last three days and add that to worrying about your sorry ass and you’d look like this to.” He gave Ceil a once over from head to toe. “Check that. You do look like I do.” He grabbed Ceil’s hand and pulled him towards the front door. “Come on; let’s get inside before we both fall asleep in your front yard.”
Ceil tugged on Flick’s hand getting him to stop and look at him, “Aren’t you forgetting something?” Flick looked confused, so Ceil decided to throw him a bone. “Your wings numb nut. Don’t want them getting hurt inside the house or anything.”
Flicks face suddenly lit up and he shook his head, “Oh yeah, so tired I wasn’t really paying attention, gimmie a second.” Flick closed his eyes in concentration and after a few moments his wings were no more, absorbed back into his body until he called them out again.
Ceil nodded and turned back to open the door and stop inside. Turning on the light in the entryway he went about taking off his shoes and jacket, not bothering to check that Flick had followed him into the house, he knew he had. Ceil was still shocked that he wasn’t freaking out about the whole situation. But he’d meant what he said; he had in some way realized how he felt a long time ago and just hadn’t accepted it. The idea of him being gay was an idea he refused to contemplate, his friend being gay had never bothered him, but he himself as a gay man he just could never see. Thinking back again he realized that he was the only one who hadn’t seen it. Ludo had been on him for about a year about how he was being an ass and he should just give up his denial and go out with Flick. Swish had given him silent but pointed looks and even creepier than that had been the very pointed looks from Andus. Shesta had only known him for about six months and she had said almost the exact same thing that Ludo had said to him, only ruder. It bothered him that he seemed to be that transparent, but that was a problem for another day.
He had stopped to contemplate just inside the entry way in front of the door. Just inside the front door was an entry way with a closet, a table, a place to stack up their shoes and other such things. Through the next door was the hallway the rest of the house sprawled around. Though his and Ludo’s house was only a one story and looked rather small from the front it was actually rather large. Off to the right was a big open space in which sat their kitchen, to the left was a big pair of sliding door that lead to the living room/family room. Further down the hall on the left was Ceil’s room, straight across the hall was his brother’s room. Their room’s had actually been smaller when they first moved in, but they’d renovated and knocked down some walls to make both their room’s bigger. They didn’t need the extra rooms anyway. If anyone stayed over it was in the guest room, which was still further down the hall just past Ceil’s room, or they slept in the rather large living room. Across from the guest bedroom was the bathroom and at the very end of the hall was another door which lead out onto a huge back porch which the brother’s had turned into a sort of patio/gaming area, putting up walls with screen in them so they could enjoy the night air but avoid the bugs. Right off the back porch was Ceil’s garden. He grimaced when that thought crossed his mind, his poor garden was probably close to dead, it hadn’t been watered or weeded in three days. He sighed ‘Just something else to be taken care of tomorrow’
He realized he was still standing at the head off the hallway, looking back and forth between the kitchen and his room, which had its own bathroom and held the promise of a shower. He heard the entry way door close behind him and looked back to see Flick staring at him. He gave him a small smile, noticing he was getting extremely tired once again. Flick seemed to realize his dilemma and gently shoved him on the back towards his bedroom. “Go get clean, I’ll make us food. Just save me some hot water.”
Ceil nodded and started to turn towards his room, then thought of something and turned back, “You know you don’t have to wait, you can have a shower now to.”
Flick grinned at him, “Why Ceil, are proposing we shower together? I thought you’d never ask.” He laughed at the shocked look on Ceil’s face, “I was joking, I know there are two bathrooms, but my stomach demands food first, then a shower.”
Ceil just nodded and started heading down the hall somewhat confused, “Alright. You know where everything is or you should you’ve been here enough times. I have no idea what’s in the fridge or the pantry just make whatever you find.” Ceil was surprised to feel his arm being grabbed and him being kissed again.
Flick gave a contented sigh. “I am so going to enjoy being able to do that whenever I feel like it.” He grinned at him then pushed him off towards the shower again, this time heading off into the kitchen.
Ceil smiled to himself as he walked off towards the shower, he was pretty sure he was going to enjoy Flick doing that whenever he wanted to as well. His stomach did a little flop at that idea and he smiled again. On the way down the hall he snagged a couple clean towels from the linen closet between the kitchen and Ludo’s room. He opened his door and sighed, it was a mess, he should have known. Ludo had told him he’d gone looking for his extra sword; he had just failed to mention that in looking for it he’d destroyed his room. The drawers of his dresser were half open and clothes were cascading out of them in some weird parody of a waterfall. Things were knocked over on his shelves, everything that was stored under his bed had been pulled out, his closet door was open and most of the things on the shelf above his clothes were knocked over or on the floor. He frowned, Ludo knew where his extra weapons were, why had he destroyed his room this way? He shook the thoughts away and fished through the mess for clean clothes and his hair brush. ‘Something else to add to the list of things to do tomorrow,’ He thought with a mental groan.
He picked his way through the mess in his room and opened his bathroom door. ‘Well at least it’s clean in here.‘ He piled all his folded clothes on the toilet and hung his towels up then moved to his dirty clothes, peeling them off and throwing them in the clothes hamper to be burned. ‘Sure as hell never want to wear them again.’ He gave a shudder and turned to the shower, twisting the hot water tap far to the left. Giving the hot water heater time kick in, he took the band out of his hair and unbraided the mess, brushing through it gently. By the time he’d brushed through his waist length hair the water was hot enough to scald. He added just a little twist of the cold tap so his skin wouldn’t boil off, but just barely, then stepped under the rushing spray. He hissed as the almost too hot water sloshed over his skin., then relaxed by inches as the heat and the hard spray started working the tension from his shoulders and back. He gave a pleased sigh and reached for the shampoo. He lathered and rinsed his hair out twice, making a face at the brown water swirling down the drain. As he grabbed the conditioner and as he squirted it into his hands he got to thinking about Flick poking fun at him with the showering together. His stomach gave another flop at the idea and his cock gave a stir. Even as tired and nervous as he was the idea wasn’t unappealing in the least. He lathered his hair up, working the conditioner into the roots and massaging his scalp. The thought of another warm, naked, wet body holding him and rubbing his back and shoulders made him shudder. While he rinsed the conditioner out of his hair he resolved someday, hopefully soon, to have that happen. He may have been doing well with accepting being attracted and even involved with another man, but seeing him naked and touching each other that way might be too much too soon.
Though his mind said it would probably be too much too soon his body seemed to disagree with him. As tired as he was the more he thought about Flick the harder his cock got. He’d dealt with enough unwanted erections in his life though and decided to ignore it; he really was too tired anyway. Having finished the most time consuming part of his shower Ceil quickly washed the grime off his body and let the scalding water wash over his shoulders for a few minutes more before finally turning off the water and stepping out. He wrapped a towel around his wet, dripping hair and used the other to dry off the rest of his body. Ignoring his erection seemed to have done the trick and the swelling in his cock had subsided, for which he was extremely grateful. He was comfortable with Flick so far, but walking out with an erection tenting his pants was pushing that comfort zone. He finished drying off and slipped on a pair of red boxer briefs before sitting down on the side of the bathtub and taking the towel out of his hair to brush it. His long black locks fell well down his back to his tail bone and some days it seemed more trouble than it was worth, like right now. But he loved his long hair and as annoyed as he got with it he knew he would never cut it. He worked the brush through his hair, brushing out all the tangles and knots, enjoying the feel of his hair being clean again. His stomach gave a hearty growl and he decided to forgo drying or braiding all his hair at the moment and eat instead. He pulled all his hair back into a low pony tail, pulled on a pair of pajama pants and declared himself dressed.
He hung his wet towels up and opened the door into his bedroom. He felt his mouth fall open at what he saw. His room was clean again, everything was where it was supposed to be. He opened one of his dresser drawers and saw all the clothes that had spilled out folded back up neatly and placed carefully inside. Even his bed was made he saw. He was surprised, but extremely pleased and he felt that warm gooey feeling swell up in him again. He went out into the hallway and headed toward the kitchen, something smelled extremely appetizing and his stomach gave another growl. He turned into the kitchen and saw Flick at his and Ludo’s six setter kitchen table, his head was on his arms and he looked like he was asleep. Next to him on the table were plates piled high with all sorts of breakfast food. Scrambled eggs, French toast, ham, sausage, fresh fruit, bagels with crème cheese and juice. He hadn’t even known they had this much food in the house.
He stepped into the kitchen and quietly made his way up to Flick, it didn’t just look like he was sleeping, he was sleeping. Ceil could hear him snoring softly and smiled to himself. Flick had pulled his hair back into a pony tail and Ceil couldn’t help but reach out and touch it, even if it was so dirty that it looked grey instead of silver, it didn’t matter. Flick jerked awake when Ceil touched him, tense and suddenly alert. He’d cocked back his fist to punch Ceil before he realized who was touching him. All the tension ran out of him suddenly and put his elbows on the table rubbing his face in his hands.
“Don’t sneak up on me like that, not the right now. I almost hit you.” He gave a jaw cracking yawn and shook himself like he was coming out of the water.
“Sorry.” Ceil smiled sheepishly. “Did you clean my room?” He asked suddenly.
Flick glanced up at him, his eyes were even more rimmed with red and he looked like he was still half asleep, but he gave Ceil a small smile anyway. “Yeah. I came in to ask you something; I saw the mess and just started cleaning. I knew where everything went anyway and it really didn’t take that long, besides I know you’re kind of a neat freak.  You don’t mind do you?”
“Of course I don’t mind. Thank you very much, and thank you for all this food to, it looks great.” He leaned down and gave Flick a quick kiss on the cheek then moved around the table to sit down next to him. “Do you want to eat first or shower first?”
Flick looked dazed, “I’m not sure I have the energy to do anything but sleep right now.” He rubbed his face with his hands hard, trying to wake himself up.
“Go shower so we can sleep, all this food will still be here tomorrow and you’re not getting in my bed dirty.” Ceil started piling food onto a plate in front of him, thanking whatever God wanted to be thanked that they had started absorbing some parts of the human world. He loved human food and didn’t know if he could survive without it anymore. It felt like it had been weeks since he’d eaten anything decent and he practically inhaled the food. Ceil was halfway through his plate of food before he even realized Flick hadn’t moved and was in fact, staring at him. “What?” Ceil asked.
“Did you say what I think you said? You want me to sleep in the same bed as you?” Flick looked stunned again. Ceil was beginning to enjoy that look on the younger fey’s face. ‘I’m getting the hang of this teasing thing.‘ If he made that stunned face every time Flick teased him he could understand why he did it so often. He took another bite of his food and a drink of his juice before he answered.
“Yes, I did.” He didn’t offer anymore explanation than that, “Go on, go get clean. There are clean towels in the linen closet, you have clean clothes in the guest bedroom from the last time you crashed here and you can use the shower in my bathroom.”
Flick shook himself, lurched out of his chair and headed for the door. Ceil finished the rest of his food in record time, woofing it down as only a young man can. He put his dirty dishes in the sink and the rest of the food in the fridge for tomorrow. He wasn’t sure what had made him say what he did to Flick, and he wasn’t sure it was a great idea. He did want to sleep next to the other man tonight, very badly, but was worried about those damn comfort levels. He sighed and pushed those thoughts off with the rest of the stuff he didn’t want to think about at the moment. The warm food and shower was starting to make it impossible for him to keep his eyes open. He yawned and headed for his bedroom; shutting off lights and making sure doors were locked as he went along, just like he did every night.
He walked in his room and wasn’t surprised to hear the water running in the shower still. It would take Flick a long while in the bathroom, his hair was even longer than Ceil’s and would take some time to wash and condition especially considering how dirty it was. Ceil grabbed his hair brush and sat on the foot of his bed, he grabbed his pony tail and brushed it out then started the task of braiding all that hair. His tired fingers refused to cooperate however and he was brushing out his fifth attempt at braiding his hair when the bathroom door opened and Flick walked out wearing a pair of his blue boxer briefs and nothing else. Flick switched off the light in the bathroom and looked up to see Ceil staring at him.
“Those are my underwear.” Was all Ceil could think of to say.
Flick just laughed at him and walked towards the bed. “I didn’t have any clean underwear here; I can take them off if it really bugs you that much.” He hooked his fingers in the top of the underwear and made as if to pull them down.
Ceil felt himself blushing and hated it, “No! No… that’s alright.” He stammered out and distracted himself by trying to braid his hair again. ‘Still not as good at teasing as him though,’ he thought while furiously trying to destroy the part of his brain that insisted on supplying images of a naked, wet Flick to torment him with.
Flick took pity on him and moved over towards the bed, grabbing a pair of sleeping shorts off the covers and pulling them on. He sat down next to Ceil and grabbed his hands from where they were trying to braid his hair. “Here, let me do that or we’ll be up all night.” Ceil felt a pull on his hair all the way down to his roots and suddenly his hair felt lighter on his head. He knew what Flick had done and he appreciated it. He had used a small burst of Power to suck all the water from his hair and dry it in a flash. He felt a tug on his hair again and in no time Flick was done and his hair was braided.
“Thanks” Ceil murmured and suddenly felt all the awkwardness that hadn’t been present earlier well up. Teasing, flirting and even a little touching like hugging were all normal Flick. Even if his own responses hadn’t been exactly normal it still hadn’t seemed all that different from everyday life. Ok, the kissing was different, but even that somehow felt normal. But sleeping in the same bed together, just the two of them not the rest of The Gang scattered around as well, that was different. With everything else that had happened between them that night and his response to the shower idea earlier, that seemed to change everything. By now Flick had dried, brushed and braided his own ankle length hair and he didn’t have anymore time to fret about the sleeping arrangements. Which he just conveniently forgot were his idea.
Flick climbed up and pulled back the covers on the bed, crawling under them and getting comfortable. Ceil’s own discomfort was still present, but he tried to push it back and relax. ‘We’re going to sleep, nothing else. Calm down man.’ He got up from where he was still sitting on the end of the bed and turned off the lights plunging the room into pitch black darkness, which didn’t bug him at all since he had perfect night vision. He made his way back over to the bed and sat down on the side he’d be sleeping on. Despite being bone deep tired his own nervousness made him reluctant to get into bed still. He just sat on the side of the bed, trying to push back all those nerves.
Ceil jumped like he’d been rammed with a hot poker when he felt a hand on his back. “I can go sleep in the guest room if you like.” Flick’s voice wasn’t reproachful or hurt in anyway, it was just empty, giving him an out if he wanted it. Ceil took a deep breath and leaned into that hand.
“No, I don’t want you to go. I’m just a little nervous I guess.” He took another deep breath then slid under the covers and tried to get comfortable. It had been a long time since he’d slept in the same bed as anyone. He tried to remember when the last time had been and realized he hadn’t slept in the same bed as anyone since Ludo had been a child. He jumped again when Flick laid a hand on his arm to get his attention.
“If sleeping in the same bed is going to make you uncomfortable then that’s fine, I’ll sleep in the guest room. It won’t hurt my feelings or anything, just the invitation is more than I ever expected. But you have to decide now because once I pass out if you want me to move you’re going to have to carry me somewhere else.” Flick sounded perfectly reasonable, calm and very tired. Ceil finally decided he was just being silly.
“No, stay. This is just the first time I’ve ever slept in the same bed as anyone but my brother and I’m just not used to it. But I’ll get used to it.” And he was, after he got over his initial shock at the idea of being in a bed with Flick he was calming down. ‘It’s not like he’s going to ravish me, we’re both too tired for anything but sleep.’ To prove that he was ok with Flick sleeping with him, he rolled over on his side and pulled Flick into his arms.
He felt the other man stiffen for a moment in surprise then relax almost instantly and snuggle into the embrace. He gave a sigh and turned so his back was pressed against Ceil’s front, he wiggled a little until he got comfortable then laid his head down and started to drift off almost immediately. Before he fell asleep himself Ceil heard him whisper “perfect” under his breath. Ceil smiled and laid his own head down on the pillows. Now that he had Flick in his arms and they were cuddled up together all his nervousness had evaporated. He usually wasn’t this fretful or nervous around people, but something about Flick made him unsure of himself. It wasn’t anything bad; it was just a new feeling. Speaking of new feelings, Flick moved a little in his sleep and pressed back against Ceil before settling down. Ceil’s stomach gave that flop that it had been doing ever since he kissed Flick earlier in the night. He don’t know how he could have been so blind as to not notice how much he cared for the man in his arms before. All those emotions and feelings had been building up without him noticing, or rather with him refusing to notice and had suddenly burst over him. But instead of him feeling overwhelmed by the intensity of these new feelings they felt right. Flick had been his friend for close to five years, maybe even longer. They were friends before this new burst of emotions and Ceil was determined that they remain good friends along with everything else that was going to come from them finally becoming a couple. He looked down when Flick shifted in his sleep and was caught off guard again by how beautiful he was, just like at the wedding. Even asleep he was breathtaking. A beautiful profile, a perfect nose, plump lips but not so big that they were overwhelming, a gentle curve of jaw and thick silver lashes against his cheek. He was the bright luminescence to his own dark presence. He hugged Flick closer to him and pressed his nose against the back of the other man’s neck. He breathed in his scent deep; he smelled like clean water and sunshine, those were the only words Ceil could think to describe the aroma. He laid a gentle kiss in the joint between Flick’s neck and shoulder, then days of being awake finally overwhelmed him and he drifted off to sleep himself. Despite everything else going to hell, all he felt as sleep overtook him was content and safe.
This is a fluff story that I've had bouncing around in my head of two of my original characters for like freaking ever. This will actually happen in the story they're in (assuming I ever write the story).

Yes they're gay, deal with it.

Enjoy the fluff :3

Ceil & Flick belong to ME!
